On my 2000 heritage the dealership is going to replace the inner primary cover, they said there is a sand hole in the alum cover, but my transmission seal is leaking also.
Once they get the inner primary cover off can they replace the seals in the transmission at that time, or will they have to pull the trans out.

Seal is changed with out pulling the tranny. Replace the stater if you have 40,000 miles or more on the bike. Lots of times people have the tranny seal done & turn around & have to pull it all apart again to replace the stater.

With the inner primary removed it would be a good time to replace all the trans seals on that side. 3 seals and a quad ring.
Also a good time to replace the shift arm and bolt.
