I can’t seem to find a video of how to use that tool for the front tensioner to compress the inner tensioner and hold it to reinstall it. This is the tool I see in the videos for the inner but nobody has it anymore.

The tool Convince Me made will work inside and out. The one I bought from Jim's works in and out too.
The tool you're referencing is used to replace the tensioners without disassembling the cam plate. This doesn't make sense to me because if you're that far in there why not service the cam plate and oil pump right away too?

Or wait a minute, I think maybe that's the tool for replacing the tensioner shoes, it unloads the springs and keeps them in place.
