I have a 92 flht that has a twin cam swap in it I was having trouble with the solenoid sticking witch ended up frying the started so I bought a new one and got it all in and now the solenoid is not sucking the plunger all the way in it seems to have a lot of tension on the plunger when you push it all the way in any ideas ?

Low battery volts maybe. A fully charged battery will measure at least 12.8v static.
Got all the ground wires connected ?

The plunger won't go all the way in if the pinion gear is hitting or catching on the clutch ring gear. Try putting the bike in gear and rocking it a bit then pull the clutch in and try starting.
