V&H true duals.

Thinking about pulling the trigger on a slightly used set of true duals but was wondering if anyone else had them and how do they sound. I've done YouTube but it's just not the same. I have stock head pipes and rush slip ons with 2" baffles stage one with XIEDS. Will I need a tuner for the new pipes? Think there just as loud as my rush mufflers?

I have the V&H tru-duals with the V&H deluxe slip-ons on my 2014 TriGlide. I have the SE air cleaner and SE Super tuner download. The bike sounds and runs fantastic, for me it was money well spent. I was on a 4 lane yesterday and a car in the passing lane came right over with no warning, I was near his front fender when he started over. I opened the throttle and was able to get clear. I slowed down for the next exit and could see the driver was obviously drunk. With my bike stock there is no way I could have gotten out of the way.
I'm getting these for a heritage. I believe it's a little different. I jus would like to know do I need a tuner for these pipes or will what I have now be ok.

I've been running V&H True Duals for quite sometime now on two FLHPI Police RK's. It really depends on the system on your bike. One of my bikes ran fine without the tuner added while the other needed it added. Depends on the mufflers used with the head pipes and what AC is on the bike. If you have a huge difference in air in the motor then the bike will be running lean until you add fuel. The worst thing IMHO is to run a bike lean, as it increases engine heat and has the possibility of putting a hole in a piston.
