I was thinking about getting my wife a set of saddle bags for her 03 883 Sportster. I was looking at the Viking Bags with the shock cut out and wanted to know if anyone had them and what you thought about them and also how hard the install is.

Thanks for any info

@Derrick441 Well worth your while to read through what Kainam posted.
Viking does not get a lot of good reviews here.

Have a set of shock cut outs on my dyna. They are very nice bags. Didn't need their customer service.

I've had Viking bags for several years and never had any major problems with either the bags or their customer service.

I'm on my 3rd set, only because it took a while to figure out what I really liked and needed. The QD system is very easy to install with only a drill, piece of chalk and a couple of wrenches. It's very sturdy and totally adjustable. You have 1 key for the QD mount and one key for both bags. The 'Viking Leather' looks like the real thing, is easy to take care of and wears very well. These are over a year old and still look brand new. For me, you can't beat them, especially for the price.

These are the Lamelier bags I'm currently using. Plenty of room.

No...that's not me on the bike!
