I got a smoking deal on a Mustang solo for my SG.

I didn't give much for it and I knew it had a minor defect.

It has a crack in the seat area, just to the rear of seam that separates the seat area and the nose area.

It's about the size of the small finger nail clipping.

He said a screwdriver dropped on it.

It is kinda weird, it is cracked, not punctured through, in that I cannot pull anything back to get "under" the tear. The black material does not pull away from what I would assume is on the back of it.

Anybody have any luck with vinyl or leather repair product.

It does not have to be perfect, I'll just put one of those ventilated seat pads over it, I just don't want the area to "grow".

I'll bite.
If it doesn't go all the way through, AND you're gonna cover it up anyway, why couldn't you just super glue it back together?
Also, is it leather?

I don't think so, I tried pulling it back like a "flap" and what is black started pulling away from what looked like the backing on vinyl.

I stopped by a leather shop today and he referred me to a place in town called Vinyl Pros. I quess they do all the vinyl repair for car lots in town. He said they can repair it and you'll never know it.

I stopped by, shop was closed, I quess due to our storm. I got a call into his voice mail.

I thought of super glue too, I may do that as a last resort.

ReStor-it, looks like that would do the trick.

I'll see if I can find it locally and do a write up on it.
