Was at harley dealer yesterday and this used 2019 Road King caught my eye, and it was a pretty thing.I have a 2017 heartiage classic and would like to know opinions on which one is better. Is it worth trading my bike in for it. I don't trust salesmen they like politions they tell you what you want to hear to make sale

IMO, yes a RK is a much better ride than a heritage. I have owned several softails and touring bikes.
The 19 RK is FINE bike.

I have a 2012 Road King Classic that I bought new and have over 120k miles ridden. I have been very happy with this model. Since the Road King is considered a "touring model", it has the design and features that offer the most comfortable ride for long distances. There is nothing wrong with other models, and many can be good for distance travel as well, but the MOCO touring designers take comfort into consideration at the onset when designing these bikes. I find the Road King is just as easy to ride for local commuting as it is long distance. It may weigh more than your Heritage, but you quickly get used to it. My bike shakes like a paint mixer while waiting for the traffic light to turn green, but once underway, it smooths out nicely. The mirrors are crystal clear at 60 mph. Just like your Heritage, there are plenty of aftermarket products to personalize a Road King to make it perfect for you. I think you will be happy with making the switch, but if you can take a test ride, it may help you with your decision.

For sure you need to ride it.... One test ride on my Ultra and the Honda went down the road..... Good luck with the choices.

I've wanted a Road King for years. Sat on a new '19 but the handlebars suck and not in a good way. The dealer kept on with how I can change them out cause they gonna give me $1K in 'free' stuff and all that. I wouldn't budge on it cause the handlebars need to fit good for even a test ride. These bars were so uncomfortable I wouldn't even test ride it. I left there and went to the next closest dealers and found my current Deluxe. I changed a couple things on it but it was used and I could deal with a used one needing to be slightly modified to fit but not a new one. Lost a sale because of $100 handlebars? I won't even look at a bike from there again unless I just really REALLY had to have it and they were the only ones I could get it from. I still want a Road King someday...

A 19 RK is a fine bike. But the Softail line was significantly improved beginning in 2018. A 2018-2022 Heritage Classic is a better bike than your 2017 Heritage. If you are happy with the size of your Heritage, you may want to test ride a newer Heritage too.

Go to the stealer and trade yours in, you will get the least for it.
Buy theirs and you will pay the most for it.
The stealer is not your friend

Little more than a year ago I upgraded from an 08 Heritage to a 20 Road King, for me it was overwhelimingly the right choice. I've not ridden an M8 Heritage, but the Road King is much more versatile in my mind.

I bought a street glide and if I had it to do over I’d get the road glide. I did not like the looks of them. Thought the street just looked better so I never really considered them. But I rode my uncles to his new house this fall a 6 hour ride and every minute I was on it I loved it more than the last. It just felt so much more stable than my street. Especially catching that wind draft from bike trucks. The road was just solid . I still love my street glide tho but the roads are a nice riding bike.

Would like to thank you all for opinion, but after the insulting offer for my Hearitage the dealer offered me, I decided to keep it, It does what I want it to do am happy with it, when I want to go far for couple days it cheaper for me to buy a closed trailer and tow it and use the trailer for camper. Thanks again everyone
