Hey Guys,
I am looking for a factory speedometer for my 1996 FXDWG.
Tag on the back of mine has a part # of 67272-96.
Looked up on Ronnies harley site and part # 67178-96 is what it said for my Bike.
If anyone has one they would be willing to sell let me know.

Thank you,
Diz Jr.

Did you check the HD dealer for a price. The last time I bought a speedometer it was only around $250.

Will a speedometer off a 2015 Heritage Softail Classic fit? Some of these are interchangeable over the years. I have one that is practically brand new.

I have been having the same issue on my 1998 FXDWG with factory speedometer..

Here is what I have found. Most all OEM Harley speedometers are obsolete. Harley started with REV A and then REV B and then REV C and now obsolete. I don't think you'll find a dealer with REV C. I found a dealer with REV B and bought it on the spot.

Now for the bigger dilemma! The instructions are worthless. They don't really tell you in blue collar working words on what wire goes where. The pin out instructions are horrible. Not to mention, you have to make your own wiring harness, they provide connectors but you provide wires.

I have 2 of the "Rev B" dashes. One is brand new still in wrapper and the other is used with mileage unknown until I can figure the wiring harness out. I have looked at Drag Specialties wiring harness and thought about biting the bullet to order that one.

Also, on the older bikes without the ECM, you will either start over at 0 miles or if you can contact President Harley and talk him into letting you send in your speedometer and they program the mileage back into it and then ship it back to you. Good luck! Not even Trump would do that one!

Please post some pictures of a REV B or REV C wiring harness if anyone has one so I can make my own.

Any thoughts or suggestions or tips would be great too.

Thanks
Geezer Glide Bob!

Did you find one?
Plan on going to a tach/speedo combo on T~S.
1999 FXST. Have not checked the back of mine yet for a tag. But almost willing to bet it is a mach.
Worked when the bike was last ridden.

Should have told you to give me a little poke as a reminder. Seem to be suffering from CRS.

Sorry to say we are out of luck.
According to my parts manual. #`s for my 99 are 67027-99 MPH only.
67282-99 MPH/kph International models.
