Well guys I think im finally going to have to break down and buy a tuner.. As you may or may not know I have a 2012 streetbob and bought it new a few months ago. My only mods are V&H big radius and red SE spark plug wires. ( I added those at 500 miles) Now at 900 miles my check engine light came on with the code P0051 pn001117-01. I think it has something to do with me running after market pipes with no tuner. I dont plan on doing anything else except stage one. So really All I need is a tuner and heavy air breather. I am looking at the fuel moto micro tuner and a naked stage one a/c. Why you say? because the micro tuner is only 200 bucks and a/c around 120 and Im broke as all get out. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions on the check engine light?

I tried clearing the the p0051 code and went to "clear" position, then I turned the key to off position, turned the key back on the check engine light stays off for about 4 or 5 seconds then comes back on.

Ask the dealer if they can at least tell you what the code means first , you may be wrong and not need to go to the expense.

P0051, or p0151? P0051 is not a code that I am aware of. P0151 is low rear O2 sensor, indicating you pinched a wire or munged the sensor when you installed it back in the pipe.

It may be that the purpose of your life is to serve as a warning to others

I set up an appointment, its about a week and a half out. Just to see if its a warranty issue. My only worry is they will get mad I put pipes on without buying "their" legendary dealer download and say I voided my warranty. lol I hope not anyways. I always had planned to buy a tuner and air breather just havent had the extra cash yet.. But If i dont solve the issue soon I have my dealer appointment as my back up plan.

If you don't trust the dealer, you can always call hd directly, they have a support line and log incidents. Never tried for something like this, but they can tell you if you have any warranty issues.

ok I turn fuel switch to on position and hold in trip reset then turn key on. The speedo does a full pass then back to 0 mph, Then the DIAG pops up on the small screen. Then is goes as follows ECM-y BCm-N Speed- N Im guessin that means under ECM thats where the fault it. when I check ECM-Y this pops up p0051 then you check that it says pn001117-01. If I hold in the trip it says clear but no matter what I do the check engin or the code wont go away. Sorry if this is confusing to read lol Hopefully its nothing serious.

Not saying this is it...But, a buddy of mine put on new wires and had something similar happen (no idea of code), but his turned out that he did not seat one of the plugs all the way down into the coil...his bike did not like it at all...easy fix though...we found it by going over everything he had just done to his bike...

now there is 2 codes lol just keeps getting better
the new one is p0154 rear oxygen sensor inactive.
