I have had good results using aluminum foil to scrub bugs and boot marks off of chrome. I just keep it wet
Polished my fork lowers. Next weekend is going to be wheel polishing time. Now it's time to see how many miles I can get in.

They were almost as bad as the wheel. Thought I had attached to my earlier post about polishing lowers.
IMHO the polished aluminum looks way better than the paint that the Moco sends them out with.

Guess you could say I took a shortcut. Started with a 600 grit wet sanding sponge. Then went to 1000, then 1500. Finished with mother's mag. I worked at it for about an hour. There are still some rough spots around what I think are casting marks that I will (maybe) smooth out with a Dremel someday.

Managed to get my hat embroidered to match my bike. My better half says I have an unhealthy obsession...

Did a 300 mile round trip to Cincinnati today. First time I have been able to get away from home since I got my Harley. Great to get out and ride and the bike ran great. It was also a good learning experience as far as what has to be done to the bike.
I was planning on doing a stage one upgrade but that's on hold. I'm going to replace the rear shocks and get a better seat.
I found a set of Harley hand adjustables on ebay for less than 300. They will lower the back end an inch, but still have to be better than the air ride. Thinking about at the very least, putting progressive springs up front. If I can find the right deal I will do the cartridge kit.
Can anyone point me toward a comfortable seat that will set me back a little on the bike. I only ride 2 up part of the time and my passenger doesn't take up much room and I could use a little more leg room.

Went ahead and took a chance on the HD premium hand adjustables that are an inch shorter than stock. Other than a much better ride I can't tell much difference in height. No dragging boards so far but I didn't get into any heavy twisties. The way the air ride leaked down I was probably riding lower most of the time.

Installed a big sucker and saddlebag mounts. Indie shop says I shouldn't need a remap until I put on new pipes. Going to take a ride and see how she acts.

Took her out for a hard 20 miles or so at 90 mph plus. No decel pop, nothing glowing when I got home. Throttle response seems much better. Even has a different sound when I get on it. Can't wait for the cobra 2 into 1 to be in stock so I can finish the stage one.

Finding one that's a good cook AND a good passenger is not an easy task! My better half had never been on a bike before she met me and took everything I told her to heart when she started riding with me. It's like she's not even back there.

Nothing is listed in the service manual for cams at 20k unless there is a special appendix for the 103 that I don't have for a 96 inch

Here in Kentucky it seems like no one knows what to do at a 4 way stop. And are they intentionally trying to either keep me in their blind spot? I could go on a long rant about the stupid things that people go out of their way to do.

Just tested positive for covid. Really sucks because the weather is beautiful here in central Kentucky. I don't feel horrible yet so maybe I will get out and give my girl a bath.

I watched my uncle suffer through it back in September so I know what's coming. Going to get worse before I get better but this isn't how I check out.
Nothing made in China is going to get me...

I'm still going back and forth to the hospital to be with my son. Small improvement and still not awake yet, been here 12 days. Temps are in the 30's so I have been caging it. Should be in the 50s this week so I can get some wind on the 90 or so round trip.

So, do these things work? Or is it just hype?
I have a few magnets stuck to the frame and floorboards on my bike. Seems to work sometimes. I've heard that the lower you can get them the better they will work.
