Replaced the batteries in the fobs and put a couple of spares in my jacket pocket , nearly got caught out in Cheddar , practised entering the pin , checked the battery voltage and charged it up .

Washed , chamoised and polished the Harley , noticed the bolt was loose on the engine guard , tightened it up .

I rode to work on Friday and went out of town to work. I left the bike parked in our shop.

Saturday, when I got back, I move the bike into the parking lot so the roll up doors could be shut and it kind of acted a little funny but once I was moving, it seemed fine. I even did a quick look around.

On my way home, the bike was acting very heavy in the turns, caught road lines and wobbled some and I was thinking it was just the road. I ride the superslab and was traveling at 80 MPH. I was rounding a bend when the back end started wobbling and sliding which caused the bars to start wobbling. Luckily I was able to get it onto the shoulder safely. Took a quick look and the rear tire was completely flat. Called a tow truck to get her home and while I was waiting, I moved the bike in small increments looking for some road debris and found nothing. Once I got her back into her house, I tried airing up the rear and it wouldn't fill past 10psi and would drop right back to zero in a couple of seconds. I felt air rushing from under the fender so I moved her around and found this:

That appears to be a puncture right in the middle of my tire tread. It's about 1 1/2" to 1 3/4" long.

I am almost 100% positive that I didn't run over anything (front tire is fine).

Please give some thoughts as to what could have caused this.
Bad luck , I got a punture in the rear tire of my Tiger whilst touring Wales in June , Luckily I had some tire plugs and the petrol station had a working compressor and I was able to get myself back on the road .

Took the Bike for a spin to get the engine up to temp and did a hot oil check .
Today adjusted the clutch and checked the primary level and did a cold oil level check , might have to take some out .

When the weather is dry and no shit on the road I ride all year aint worried about cold can wrap up I do have my bike on battery tender any time its in the garage.
I have the Kawasaki for the shite winter months and the odd commute to work , I don’t want road salt on all that chrome , I want to keep the Harley looking pristine .

Just bought a set of long angled highway peg mount kit. My old highway pegs that came off my Softail just didn’t come back far enough for my 5’9” legs.
I would have the same problem with my short legs .

Charged the battery up , then tested it 13.1v , put the battery back on the bike with a lead to fit my CTek charger , started it up and ran it for 20mins as I was going to replace grips , took the throttle grip off , took the new grips out the packaging , bollocks the wrong ones , back to dealer , right ones now on order. Whilst I had the bike running I checked out the Noise level with sound meter , 80dba on tickover and 90dba at 3000rpm which is cruising speed so I don’t think the noise cameras will pick me up .
