It was the older spring loaded tensioners that wore out with low miles, the newer hydraulic tensioners go between 50k and 100k miles.

The bike or the hooker? :confusedI cleaned her, again. This weather is stupid and I want to punch Mother Nature in her liver. I think the frustration of this lingering cold weather is the equivalent of having 5 free hours with a high class hooker and not being able to get it up. She didn't really need a bath, I just wanted to spend some time with her.
The bike or the hooker?
Lemme guess...… iPhone.I going to give up posting pics.
F#&%ers always go sideways!
Where'd you find a buffalo burger?took day trip. 148 miles. i should have had a buffalo burger, got catfish instead. buffalo meat next time, really good. 50 when we left and 66 on way home saweet. new guy austin had a good time. jack and i going again tomorrow. i need to work on my grey water lateral but not tomorrow. i may just call the plumber and ride all week.:smile
I think its to do with the specific tire. Used the Metzler ME 880 previously, no cupping on that tire....Damn, 10k don't sound like a lot....? Is it something to do with the brand....? My Rocker did not get good mileage but the tire was huge, the King did better and I have high hopes for the Sporty.
Colt.45
From what I've been hearing, the 90/90 rides slightly better. :dunnoI am curious, genuinely don't know. I have a 21" front tire. Other than cupping, why use a 90/90 instead of an 80/90? I mean, are there other benefits to it being a little wider?
Hey! That's my pickup line at the bar!Little fatter helps the ride. I wont go any further than that :devil
If it werent for several people having problems with the 888s specifically, I would give that more investigation.I read the rest of your posts on this. This may have or may not apply to our bikes because tire wear is subject to different dynamics on motorcycles, but generally, when we encountered cupping wear on car tires in our shop, we suspected that the shocks were not controlling the small pavement irregularities well. In effect, allowing the tire to “bounce” on the surface just slightly. The shocks would feel good on the normal bounce test, but when we removed them, we would sometimes find that there was a section of them that corresponded to their position at normal ride height that felt a little loose or weak in dampening resistance. If it was front tires only, that was an indicator to check wheel alignment. The front tires on four-wheelers actually do “lean” slightly in turns (camber), just not as radically as bikes do. I’m not saying your shocks are bad, just tossing this out as a FWIW.
Well, If I ride that far, it might have to be a Buffalo steak!many places in oklahoma serve buffalo meat. there are a lot of herds in oklahoma that are big enough to harvest meat from. the meat is the best i've ever eaten. they raise themselves on the prarie, no grain suplements necessary or antibiotics. if the govt hadn't slaughtered almost all of them trying to starve out indian tribes there would be no need for the cattle industry. they taste almost the same as beef but there is more marble through more cuts than beef which makes more tender cuts that if served from roasts people would not know they weren't eating beef. anyway kainem just come to my house some weekend and we will ride down for a burger the next day! you are always welcome to stay over here.:grin
Been there just a few years ago.Not much pain anymore, but it hasn't even been a week since the surgery, still supposed to not lift anything heavier than 15 lbs for a month. Means I'd have to find a way in May to get 2,500 miles in two or three weeks.
