So yesterday I did the Dignified Transfer and escort ride for LCPL Jared Schmitz, along with 1000 other motorcyclists. The police completely shut down westbound I-70 between the airport (in St. Louis County) to the Cave Springs exit (in St. Charles County), people lined the interstate and all the overpasses. You can find pictures of it and videos of it on Facebook and You-Tube. It was a very moving experience.
we saw what you did there, a very "moving" experience. ;)

We have barely been on our bike in the past 2 months. Between work and the extreme heat it's just not looking good for us. Living vicariously through all of the rest of you. We will still have "summer" heat all the way through October here.
We did go on a short ride last Sunday and almost melted to the seat😄😄😄
move to kansas, we'd love to have you, summer is almost over here. :p

Illinois is in my back pocket just trying to get out of California right now to make our way there. About another six to eight months and we are gone

Had to run down to the new VA in Fayetteville to get my prescription, and of course they called me like one hour before it closes. 62 miles from work. I had enough gas to get there, barely, and I laid the ears back on Daisy even doing some lane splitting (not legal here). She was having fun! 6th gear really isn't for trying to get somewhere fast but it was pulling just fine. I would love to throw some cams in that 103 and some head work to add a bit more power. In due time I suppose.

I LOVE these cams! Probably where I will leave the motor until next summer (looking forward BIG-TIME to getting the heads ported). The mid-range is unbelievable, and it lost nothing off the bottom end.

Well, finally I located a station that has Premium Grade gasoline and brought home 5 gallons of it which nicely topped off my Harley's tank. Fired her up, and off I went. Got a big party going on over at the local stealership (under new management) and stopped there to catch up with friends I haven't seen recently, then just took off on some less traveled roads for a while just to ride. Felt great to get out, and the Gulf Coast weather is being affected by a system that seems to have made the humidity go away, and it actually feels nice to walk around without ending up soaked to the socks in sweat.

Fall is here in Maine. 65 Today got under 50 miles in was cold at speed. The shadows are earlier started 11am. On back roads lots of trees, suns lower creates a few visual problems. Was good to get out.

100 mile jaunt around NW FL, 1st pic along US90 near Harold, FL then onto Baker, FL, stopped at the Baker museum to get a picture in front of the mural. Beautiful weather today. During last third of the ride, the check engine light came on. I got home and found the front spark plug wire had worked loose and was just sitting over the plug. Guess I better go ahead and put the new motor mount on.

Well, it's been a busy week, haven't been able to get the miles in I wanted, looking at my October trip, it's only 1,000 miles round-trip and since I'll be taking the 500 miles there pretty easy, I decided I'll just wait until after the trip to do the 50K service, since the bike seems to be running great. Should be right at 50K when I come back (currently just hit 48,500).

Filled up today, 44.15 mpg on this tank (city mpg, and 40 miles of that was prior to cleaning the carb and replacing the air filter). Prior to the cleaning, it was averaging about 41 mpg.

Then, came into the neighborhood a little hot today, now I need to go get some automotive paint I suppose. Yeah, spot isn't visible underneath, but I don't want the potential for rust. Not sure how I scraped the frame without scraping the primary though...
