My first bike was a 2004 Yamaha VStar 1100ccs i think...
Learned to ride on her, dropped her, stalled her in the rain, walked her in the rain, dropped her in the rain...kicked her in the rain...pushed started her in the rain...

Put shiny gunk on the tires, made my newborn sit on her...I miss her but I dont.

What was your first bike? Got any pics?

My first Harley was a 2013 Nightrod Special.

Mine was a Honda V45 Magna. The fastest production 750 in '82. Bought it in flight school, Ft. Rucker AL, ground the footpegs off that thing. Sold it to buy and engagement ring. Still have the woman 31 years later. Good choice but I still miss that bike. such freedom!!

In college I borrowed $300 from my mom and dad and bought a well used Honda 305 Scrambler. I went everywhere on that thing, rain or shine, freeways, city streets, dirt fire trails, my first taste of true freedom. Sold it just before my senior year to pay my past due residence house bills which were about $300 in arrears at the time. Can't beat a deal like that.

I never realized how much I missed it until I bought a XLH 881 about five years ago and it all came back; the freedom to just hop on and go even if only to the store.

Honda CT70 was my first bike. Had to be 1968 or 1969. Had a sleeping bag I tied to the bars for brief over-nighters. 45 mph tops with a stiff breeze to my back. Mine was a manual tranny w/clutch. Wore a sparkely Stars & Stripes bubble helmet. Thought I was Easy Rider :laugh
