Ok, so, I am just wondering. Why don't they make windshields wider? The one on my Heritage is 23" high and its fine for keeping wind away from my head as I ride. But if it was several inches wider it would probably also help keep the wind off my arms and shoulders a lot also.

Is there any reason why windshields aren't made wider?

I believe it is physics. Meaning it is a balance between horsepower and width of windshield for wind resistance. The wider you go the more horsepower you need to push it though the air and the harder it will be to control in curves.

So true sails are for boats.
The wind in your face verce's stability even the bat wing has a narrower shield to shear the wind.
