If eliminating a bit of shoulder stretch is part of the improvement

you guys are looking for, here's another affordable approach.

Can't testify about a RK Tall-boy seat, but I made very good use

of an earlier similar good deal on a RK SunDowner, wasn't hard to adapt it

to my '05 LowRider. As poofy as a LowRider SunDowner I had once was

I wouldn't be surprised if it has as much lift and reach effect as a tall-boy.

So far as I'm concerned, caring how it rides more than how it looks in the parking lot,

it's just about perfect.

Sorry for the delay, had to make an out-of-town business trip.

To answer a couple of the questions...

Part #: 56267-09

Not sure how they are measured, but if you bend a tape-measure from the front base of the riser, over the top, to the point where the bar sits in the riser is approximately 7".

Haven't had a chance to ride much as I've had it apart installing V&H Big Shots and a SE Stage 1 air cleaner kit. However, it appears to make a significant difference.

The seat is the factory seat off a 2011 Fat Bob. I originally had the Sundowner, but just couldn't make myself happy with the look. Too much seat for this style bike, but still very comfortable. I saw the Fat Bob seat in the showroom and really liked the look. So far I'm very happy with it and it's very comfortable. I believe the price was $199.

If anyone is interested in the factory 4" black risers (straight), I'll be glad to sell them at a fair price (have no idea what that price is). They fit 1.25" bars.

Here's a quick shot of how the V&H Big Shots look on the bike (just finished that install today). I'll post more info and a sound comparison on that a little later.

I have the V&H Fuelpak un-opened in the garage and may send it back. I just don't see how there's any room to fit it w/o bending the bajeezus out of the wiring harnesses. May just go with the custom tuning route and be done with it??

Thx for the full shot of the risers; really looks nice with the chrome and added height. I'm giving serious consideration to putting some straight ones on mine.

Greatly appreciate this thread, and especially the pics. pictures really do speak a 1000 words. Recently purchased a HD sidekick seat--love the seat, but puts me back about an inch making my reach to the bars a tad bit much. These risers may be the ticket. Thanks for taking the time of sharing the pics and thread

I just used 6" pull back risers last week to mount a Chubby Drag Bar.

Same height and pullback as the stock "mini pulbacks". Used my stock clamp cap.
But I paid full tilt $139 for H-D risers. What can I tell you...

Your bike looks great!

still no answer to my question tho... did the risers come with new top caps, or are those separate?? would look dumb to use the stock black tops with chrome risers.

thanks.
The risers that use the 1 piece handlebar clamp usually do not come with the clamp, you use your own stock clamp.

Risers that use individual clamps for each riser come with their own clamps.

They have one-piece 6" risers/drag bars in black. I think they cost about the same as you paid for just your risers. Those are the next thing I'll be installing.

Looks good though. As long as you're happy with them that's all that matters.

I think you did good on using the chrome ones instead of black. I know that wasn't your first choice, but to me the chrome really accents the rest of the black on your bike, and it fits with the rest of the chrome on your triple trees, bars, etc making it look like one unit. The black ones may have looked more like added on parts instead. I think they look great.

6 inch risers - Thank you!

New to the forum ad just wanted to give a BIG thanks to everyone that posted and sent pics about the HD chrome 6" risers. Money is tight and I wanted mini fat apes, but was too cheap to get the whole bars & cables, etc. Bought the 6 inch risers and its the best change I've made to my bike at this point. No more lower back pain on long rides!!!
