i bought today a 87 sporty 883. the guy couldn't get it running and i bought it right. thing was just dumping fuel and he'd been monkeying with the carb quite a bit. so i rip it off and it's a cv varible venturi carb with a accelerator pump, so i now know it's not original. the enricher cable is broken so head down to the harley store carb in hand. long story short i got the wrong parts. i'm hoping someone can help me out here.
p/n on carb is 27498-96a
a quick google shows it as xl 1200c am i to understand it's from a california emisions xl 1200 1996??
if any of you are part number savvy i'd love to know what i should have here for the enricher. here's what they sold me:
27582-88 cable sealing cap
27580-88 cable guide xlh 883
27581-88 starter cap
29229-88d cable enricher
i'm thinking he gave me a bunch of parts for an 88 883. any words of wisdom appreciated.
