First of all you want an oil temp gauge.
The question has been asked elsewhere.
I believe HD now offers one. Check their store. Official Harley-Davidson Online Store

No, there is neither an oil or engine temp gauge on the Rushmore Boom system.

 

I don't understand why they haven't done this yet. It's not that difficult to even add an add on for this.

 

on my 07 I took out air temp gauge and put a oil temp gauge from harley $139

The only way I can look at engine temp (for testing purposes) is to use my V&H Fuelpak FP3... I fire up the smartphone app and can monitor intake temp or engine (cyl head) temperature.

Of course this doesn't help you unless your smartphone is mounted where you can see it...

HEY Neighbor :wink. On your right handle bar there is a symbol that looks like a i with a circle around it. Push that and it will show you your info. OOPS Sorry I guess I read your post too fast. Yeah on the New bikes there is NO engine temp gauge .

 

Probably the same reason they don't add lots of things at the factory. Lack of demand and the fact that they can sell it aftermarket.

 

Could also be the less informed would grab their chest and fall over backwards if they could actually see cylinder head temps. Sometimes info causes way more problems than it might solve. Look at what happens when someone mentions oil.:wink

 

Would that be extra virgin baby seal oil ???? :dunno
