Had our '04 Ultra Classic at the dealer this winter to have everything serviced and gone through. Since we got it back there has been an irritating noise coming fromthe front brakes. Sounds like their dragging. Cleaned the rotors with brake cleaner and that worked for about an hour and the noise was back again. Never had the noise before this winter. Dealer says it is normal. Too irritating. Any suggesstions?

Squeal or just a slight rubbing sound? There is brake grease that you put on the backs of the pads that might help. It kind of sticks the pads to the pistons in the calipers to keep them from rubbing the rotor. It also reduces brake squeal. Brake squeal is caused by high speed vibrations. Can be bought at any auto parts store for cheap.

Yep, I remember mine doing the same thing. That MY had issues with the caliper piston sticking IIRC, so it might not be retracting properly. If you have a lot of travel on the front brake lever that's usually indicative as well. Disassembly/reassembly with proper lube ought to do it.

Dragging and/or low lever: See Brake Sticky. Caliper pistons need to be cleaned. Easy job. Happens because HD calipers lack a dust boot, and have an exposed seal.

Squeeling: HD MoCo bulletin, for dual disc brakes, stating to swap brake rotors, left to right, and right to left, matching pattern.
