I dont know about the Con US, but drivers in Hawaii are probably the worst I've seen ever. BE CAREFUL out there for reckless drivers who don't give a damn about anyone else. I put on loud pipes and installed a very loud air horn. I even wear safety green long sleeve shirts!!! Im not a new rider but there sure seems like there's too many cars/trucks on the road here on this little island. To top that off, road rage is a major problem here. I have the Buck knife and pepper spray as of now. Been thinking of getting a gun but it's super illegal here. I dont think it's worth the risk. Any thoughts?? Send em my way.

I live in eastern PA. We've got a high percentage of NY and NJ drivers here, in which a recent Federal study showed those are now the 2 WORST states to drive in.

You can wear flashing Christmas lights. It's not that they don't see you. They just don't care.

Yeah there bad no matter where you live.I drove by a stupid ass donut hole a month ago.I could tell she was reading something while driving with one hand on the wheel and one on whatever she was reading. As we came to a stop light I got closer. I could see she was reading a newspaper flyer.

S Florida sucks as well... There is no way to buffer yourself from the morons. I cant even get the average driver here to make eye contact around intersections. I wonder what the hell they are looking at half the time. A lot of the roads I ride around here have 2-3 travel lanes each direction, and boy I will tell you I will use every inch on the road on most days here.
Stay Safe

Southern Ontario is full of Chinese and Indian (from India) drivers. Nothing worse, period, end of discussion. Total disregard for other drivers (or riders).
It takes 100% concentration by riders to keep rubber side down.

I saw a blonde bimbo the other day going down the road holding a cell phone to her head with one hand, and gesturing with the other hand!

Get a bikers whip aka get back whip.
then you can just pull the whip out and whack their rear windows and the glass will break, then you just keep on driving on.
Not that I've done this.....:know
And another is take your knife & slash the valve stems on the tires. it will render them undrivable and you wont be laile for new tires or such.

Ya never should a gotten me going on the cagers & my road rage.

Uh, doesn't Hawaii recognize the Second Amendment or the recent SC decisons that affirm our right to posess guns?

The drivers here on the South Coast defy all reason and logic. Can't see, won't see, avoid seeing anything on 2 wheels. State law took radar away from the local sheriffs' departments so speed limits sort of don't exist in many places. And of course, while avoiding all of these idiots, we still have to deal with Bambi.

This is what they have to go thru just to purchase a pistol! :loco

It was easier for me to get cleared to CCW in 70% of the US than it is for them just to purchase a pistol!

Here in Austin, Texas, we are continually infested with new "transplants" from California and other places and they love nothing better than to yak on the cell phone and text while driving...and then when they get where they're going, they complain about how *bad* Austin drivers are! :rollin

Hawaii has one of the strictest gun laws in the nation. They make it really hard for someone to own a gun. The damn criminals are protected more than the victims. Im trying to protect myself without getting into legal trouble that would cost me thousands to stay out of jail. We have a real big crystal meth problem here in the islands. Not even the police are safe anymore with these addicts running loose.

The "hornet spray" idea is a good one BUT very costly. If sprayed on a person THAT person has a LEGAL case against you. Spraying a deadly chemical into someones face is defiantly a NO-NO. I do understand the predicament we riders face whenever we ride, but it is OUR responsibility to keep some nit wit from ending a perfectly great ride by causing an accident. So when you see these cagers on "auto pilot" always remember YOU ARE IN CONTROL, ALWAYS RIDE AS THOUGH THE DEVIL IS WAITING FOR YOU. I personally carry a flare gun with 12 guage flares( pyro shots) and they are legal, so when I am in need of "protection" I have something that is as much a deterrent as a gun, and still be legal to possess on the road.

You know its funny that on our yearly big run {30,000 or better } cagers seem to show respect. We had one wreck last year, and that was some nut on a bike with the hammer down
