I went with the 1" stuff because of all the failures with the 25mm. The Harley 9247 is a quality proprietary piece made by a top manufacturer. They don't sit flush nor are they required to do so. The .100"-.120" they stick out in no way affects the performance of the bearing, some which have lasted a 100k+ miles. The bike seems lighter in the front with the newer wheel.
The 6205 series bearings with the 1" bore were not readily available a few years back like they are now, that's why I chose the 9247.

Will the 1" stock spacer between the bearings inside the wheel work with the newer wheel or did you have to make a custom one?(wider or narrower?)

No . Swing arn too narrow

Hello I’m trying to do this upgrade but I’m running into a couple issues. I just want to make sure I’m doing it right. I have the enforcer wheel I believe it’s off of a 17. Either way it had abs bearings. Those are out and I installed 9247 bearings with inner sleeve from the 16” wheel. The inner sleeve is not tight between the bearings. Feels like around 1/8” of play. I would think this is an issue correct?

I originally used the inner sleeve from the 19” wheel and both bearings stick out. Potentially the wheel could shift over one way right? I pressed in the left side till bottomed out, then when pressing the right side in it pushes left side out. I then pressed back the other way so left is bottomed out again. Just doesn’t seem right.

Any help is appreciated thanks.

As long as both bearings have a tight pressed fit into the wheel itself then the spacers on the axle shaft between forks and wheel will keep them in place and not let your wheel side shift at all, just need to make for certain they both have an od circumference specced to correct size to be a pressed fit in to center wheel hub/axle hole and are correct id to accept your wheel axle too...I found only thing that needs to be converted is the brembo calipers to accept the bigger rotor cus old style ones won't clear and stock wheel spacers need turned down to just over .775ish too , to accommodate the slightly wider wheel

Did you find a resolution??

Did you find a resolution to this?? You explained exactly what I am dealing with right now! How did you correct it? I know the newer inner sleeve is 25mm a not 1” so that has to be changed to something else. An the stock sleeve is too short to get sandwiched between the two bearings. What have you concluded!?!

The only difference between the abs and non abs wheel is a bearing. The Enforcer wheel is the second late wheel I have put on my 2002 bike. I used my stock 1" axle, stock Harley 9247 1" bearings and made 2 new spacers .780 wide. Kept the stock master cylinder and line and installed the Brembos. You can just machine your spacers down to .780" wide.
The other option is to buy an '08 axle, 2 outer spacers and a 9276a (6205 2rs) bearing.
Can I put front and rear on my 2003 ultra classic? 2014 rear looks a little wider tks
