Hey guys my names owen I'm 20 from southern Maine. I have been in the market for Harley for a while because I recently sold my 500cc Suzuki. I was going to get a sportser but my dad has an 03 rk and I ride it all the time and feel comfortable , so I got a 1998 superglide. It's got 12k mi. Have had to put some work in here and there to get it running right but it goes good now. I'm also considering moving south just so I can ride it more. I average about 7-10k mi a year whicch isn't to bad for only really having 3-4 mos of riding. Good to meet everyone

Welcome from Alberta, Canada, Owen. Glad you made the leap to Harley. Up north here we don't have a long riding season in months but we do have sunlight approximately twenty hour a day right now so a fellow can get a heck of a lot of riding in daylight. I'd rather ride 365 myself but up here in oil country I ended up where the jobs are and pay best and then make the best of an unhappy riding situation. Couldn't have it all so I chose a good paying job, lousy riding - well there's always snowmobiling in the Rockies for the winter thrills - and temperatures that would freeze a brass monkey in January/March - that's when I envy all the lads riding so freely down south and say to myself next year maybe - and I'm still here - so I know what you mean moving south. Maybe next year or something like that - yep - maybe next year.

Thanks guys. The next year thing is exactly the way it is. I have a good paying job here but if I can find something close to what I get now either out west or Carolina region I'd start packin I think
