I have just bought 91 sporster 883 with 16 k miles. since i have bought just couple of months and very little driving i have developes oil leak that seems to be getting progressively worse. I notice it most after driving for little while and see it dripping from the pivot area of the swing arm trying to get little input in what i may check or if anybody may have had the similar concern

Look up near the rocker box (rear) and see if there's any oil there.

If it's especially noticable on the right side, you may have a cracked oil tank mount, which is common on late 80's-early 90's XL models. It promotes oil to leak at the back of the oil tank, then drip downwards and show up in the swingarm pivot location, as you discribed.

As well....could be a leaking trans output shaft seal behind the front sprocket. Which side?

Left side is the primary. You may have a leaking starter jackshaft seal, primary cover gasket or a leak up under/around the starter that's following a trail, and manifesting at the left side, by the swing arm. The oil tank has hoses behind it, and one could have rubbed through.

It sounds as if you may have to take the seat off or get in there and do a little investigating.
