Bump to keep this entertaining thread alive and keep someone else from wasting $150.

I would have thought the price tag would be enough to keep people from buying the thing. It`s a dipstick for cryin out loud.:rollin

I picked up a basic oil temp/dipstick on Ebay for $19 and free shipping. Not sure I really even need one, but WTH.

I have a JES Customs & checked it agin a cooking thermo & water brought to boil. At least up to the bp of water in my area, they agreed within +- 4 degrees F. So I'm satisfied - with both the item & price.

To top it off the electronics fail when HOT. I lost the leading digit and the lower level bars. a waste of $150.

I've had one for over a year and not had a problem with it. And 100 degree days aren't that rare where I ride.
