Purge high pressure fuel line

Trying to do the turn signal relo on my 2015 FXDL. Stuck on the first step LOL. I have the service manual. Relo kit step one refers me to the service manual to purge high pressure fuel line and disconnect the line in preparation to unbolt the tank and slide it back to get to the wiring.

Below is a pic of the instructions in the the service manual. Step 1a tells me to disconnect the fuel pump module connector from the tank plate. There is a figure there as well (4-4). I cannot for the life of me find this. My assumption is that disconnecting this prevents more fuel from entering the line. When you start the engine it just burns off whats left in the line so you can disconnect.

Can anyone tell me where the connector actually is?

2014-15 Dyna LR fuel tank is not under pressure. Just run your fuel tank to near empty, remove the gas cap and disconnect the fuel crossover line. With a small can catch the remaining fuel. NOTE: the fuel line crimp connectors are a one time use clamp, so you will need another clamp.
Autozone sells the spring type clamps which I use. 3/8", I believe, but a 1/4" clamp might work, too.

Hope this info is useful....:smile
I followed the service manual instructions. Once I found that fuel pump connector, I went to it. I didn't need to remove the tank, just needed to slide it back.

That is under your instrument cluster. I don't know where the new Dyna fuses are, but I just pull the fuel pump fuse and spin the engine a couple of times to release pressure in the line. I have removed the line with pressure (fuel) in it and it's sorta messy, but with a rag wrapped around the fitting, not too bad. The fitting itself on the tank is like an air hose coupling. Push up on hose, while pulling down on the collar. Caution, you can nick the coupling oring, and end up with a fuel leak.
Thank! It would be nice if it specified that, but I guess I needed to look at the appendix with all the electrical info. Getting the tank moved back was a piece of cake once I new where that was.
