I want to install a fat tire on my bike. The problem is that I like the wheels I have, they are oem. It’s possible to do it or is there a way to buy one for the front?

I just looked at the link......by the time you select all of the components...you're likely spending upwards of 2000..... 800 is the starting point before selecting all the components!. That just buy's the parts kit.....

Yikes.....While I've a watched a ton of YouTube Rally/Bike Week video's and was amazed at some of the custom builds....I respect different strokes etc...... I don't understand the motivation on a RG......Having said that, it's not my bike or my place to question......

I wish the OP luck with his build!

How would one go about installing a wide front tire without changing the front forks ?
A quick look at the parts at Ronnie's web site shows the rear as 18 " and the front as 19".

It sounds like the OP wants to use the Harley style wheels his bike has now. The 18" rear would be kinda difficult to fit up front. Would need to do something with the front fender ! The front is set up for dual calipers ! Like said above the triple trees would need attention. Then there's the front geometry to consider for handling trade offs !
Next to consider is if this OP intends to do all the wrenching himself ? Otherwise the costs could double or more in a custom or indie shop !
OK so I'm subscribed, will wait to hear what happens ! I have an idea about that already !

A lot of speculation...lol

I guess we'd need to understand the motivation, show bike primarily??? More concerned about looks and the ability to trailer the bike from show to show?

I understand the appeal of oversized after owning a Vrod with the monster back tire......and a 22 Sportster S with the the Wide Front Tire......

Part of the appeal for the Sportster S WAS the front tire!.....It actually handled a lot better than I thought it would.....but the novelty quickly wore off after 30 minutes in the saddle.....what a PITA......literally.....But I'm also 65 and decided that I wanted to enjoy riding and needed more comfort without sacrificing performance.....

I'm always interested in "unique"....and I'm following this thread as well......

My needs are a little more basic.....Stage 1, upgrade the front and rear suspension, saddle and bars......then I'm done!
I have Ohlins front and back ordered, I already the stage 1 and seat completed.......I'll adjust the bars when the Ohlins are installed.....so that one may need some saddle time in the spring.....

One of the great things about the SG/RG platforms is that there are options....and since there are companies already doing the Wide Wheel Kit's, it's got to be a trend somewhere......
