I did... but don't you think you could at least say hey and introduce yourself?

Trust me, it can work wonders. It lets people know you may be sticking around awhile.... just sayin.

Im sorry you dont feel like becoming a part of the community.
but truth be told, that what this forum typicly is, a community, and just as in any productive community, you give some, you take some, you share.

noone here is paid for the advice they give, or the experience they offer here. This is all given from one member to another of the "community" hoping that the reciever of the info will be able to use it and maybe be able to help others.

If a member who joins here is not willing to be forthcoming with common courtesy, why should other members be forthcoming with information?

hopefully you will change your mind and stick around and maybe offer some assistance to others as you request assistance from them.

If I could, I'd like to re-start this thread. I'm thinking about getting some parts powder coated, and my rocker boxes are a few parts I was thinking about. Do those require a certain hi temp powder coat compared to say fender struts? Thanks for any help!

Perfect!! I was wondering. My buddy that works at the powdercoating shop is new, so he isn't sure what's what yet. he'll just hand the parts off to a friend who's got more experience. What about the jugs? Think it's safe to shoot them too? thanks for the reply!!

I was thinking that. I just wasn't sure if there's different types to keep from warping engine parts. I've got a 88 Sporty. I was wondering if my rocker covers are aluminum. If so, wouldn't that warp? Sorry, but I'm kinda ignorant to this. thanks.

One word of wisdom. make sure you powdercoat it the color you want for the life of the scooter. My buddy had his jugs coated some off green color an decided he did,nt like it.....costs twice as much to take it off as to put it on....allmost cheaper to buy new jugs.

Regular powder I good for the rocker boxes. Good for everything but the exhaust. It's cured at 400 so as long as the parts aren't near that your good. I've even had heat shields covered with great success.

flatblack, If I knew I would tell you, it is a shame some do not believe in SUPPORTING people in need and try to belittle newcomers. May be this is not a place for you, I hope you find someone willing to help, if not try your local automotive paint dealer and explain your task to the manager, I am sure they can help and may possibly give you a discount on the materials. Good luck.

LOL!! Yeah, Rockerbox1! Something like that. I was thinking whatelse needed it, but I'll stop at that. I had thought about the frame, but I'm gonna hardtail it in a year or two. I'll just do it then.
