Mine comes on at just under a quater so id say its normal.
As far as the reserve, on mine you go past trip A and B and the next one is your reserve.

yeah on mine it only does the total milage and trip a and trip b

 

5 gal of gas. 1/4 tank 1.25 gal of fuel. 40 mpg or 40 miles til yer walkin give or take. I personally watch my miles and rarely go over 170 miles at that. 07 FLHT here

 

I don't think your 07 will give you miles until empty. I think that started in 09 or 10.

 

I figured it was something like that.

 

Guys can someone help me, my gauge is not accurate and the warning is on light all the time, I change the Sensor inside the Tank but still the same.
Any idea???

Im Using SG 2006

 

2010 FLHX and I have a "miles on reserve" readout on the speedo. The fuel light comes on at about 35 miles, just under a gallon on a six gallon tank. I've noticed that the "reserve" miles change if I change my cruising speed. On the freeway (77 MPH) it says 35. If I pull off the freeway the miles bump up to about 38.

This system is not just monitoring fuel level in the tank. It's also figuring MPG and how you're riding. Pretty nice out on the open road with few fuel stops.

 

I have an 06 and my fuel light comes on at about 1/4 tank. I usually fill up at about 140 miles on each tank just to keep safe.

 

just remember the fuel pump is elec. which means when it gets near the slush line the fuel pump will heat-up & eventually fail.
