Looking to purchase a set of led lights that mount on the hard bags. They fit across the bag in the back and have tail/brake & signal. The HD catalog only shows application for 14 and up, are the bags different on my 2012 SG or is it the wiring hook up? I have not been next to a 14 to measure bag widths etc. I don't want to spend $200 for something that won't work or fit properly...

At last something this non-mechanic can answer. I could have ordered light kit out of catalogue. High prices for some lights. Already had two little ones on engine. Bought two 12" blue from Walmart for $29 put under tank. What a difference. I would need 5 little ones on each side for this effect. They have red white and blue lights. You want other colors go to Auto Zone. What's nice is if it is too long just take scissors and cut to length.

Well, you got "lights" correct. The op wants H.D. LED run/stop/turn lights that fit on the rear of 2014 and newer saddlebags. Asked what difference is between older and 2014 up bags.

Yeah I know what he said. I was stating that there are alternatives if he or someone else would want to go a cheaper route. I can see why some members post a one page diatribe to explain the simplest answer. Ricksglide question had been there an hour and no one answered. I think people are following me and can't wait for me to say something stupid. Well get in line. That doesn't sound right, but true.

If the light is designed to contour to the bag, it likely will not work as bags are quite a bit different. The the TP and bags were redone for the Rushmores.

You'd likely also have to adapt the wiring.

That was what I was talking about. The led strips are thin as a Styrofoam plate but much more limber. Just make sure the backing is black. He stated at the end about spending $200 for something that won't work. He could check out Denniskirk. I know lots of people shop the net, but not me.

I put all of this on my '14 FLHX. I didn't install them but the guy who knew how to do it took about an hour. With the Exception of the LED Headlamp bulbs they were all Custom Dynamics and you can see them a long way off in daylight and God knows how far when I hit the brake or at night. The whole bunch cost a little over $500 installed while I was at Sturgis.

While researching the stuff I found plenty of installation videos from Custom Dynamics and they were pretty plug and play. The install was free and I spent the hour or so drinking beer and looking at half naked bar maids.

LED rear brake/turn lights
LED Tri-bar lights
LED Rear Plasma Rods
Brake Flasher thingy
LED Front Turn/driving Lights
LED Headlamp bulbs

I've seen one Street glide so far with those HD lights , I like em as the 14 SG's no longer have the center brake light on US models , those 2 little lights now handle all the run / stop / turn functions.

Harley always thinks alot of there accessories , well over 2 bills for that set up , plasma rods look like a cool option , don't know what the cost is by the time you adapt them to run/stop / turn though.
