Am looking to go to the Kerrville area this weekend and looks as though I may encounter some rain. How much depends on which weather site I visit...amazing how much difference there is in their forecasts! Am going prepared however and while I feel I have a handle on coat and pants I do feel I need something different for my gloves. Have three pair of leather gloves that I use depending upon the temperature but none I would classify as waterproof. Any suggestions from those that are exposed to rain regularly? Don't get too much experience with that here in Lubbock, TX!!

BMW Atlantis riding gear in their nubuck leather.
I got the Atlantis (version 4) pants earlier this summer. Only briefly out in 'gully washer' rain, most of the time in light rain. Only time I got 'crotch pond' was when the HD leather jacket drained down my front at a stop light during the gully washer.
The nubuck leather is the fastest drying leather I found. Total soak to total dry time is around 2 hours, unlike 2 days for most leather. When water was just sheeting off the shins on the pants during light rain, the dry time was around 20 minutes.
I just ordered yesterday their Atlantis (version 3) glove/gauntlet. I haven't tried the Atlantis jacket.
They don't make an Atlantis boot. So I got the Santiago boot last year. Never had wet feet.
For riding gear, there is the 'standard'. Then there is the BMW Standard; which is far above 'standard'. Expensive. But Harley Davidson's are also expensive.
