Odometer reset button...

Hello people...

I have a '93 FLHTC that I bought a few weeks ago. Been checking it over and I noticed the odometer reset button wasn't sitting in the dash straight. Closer inspection showed there is no nut on the stem holding it in the dash. I got a plastic wire tie holding it from falling inside the dash. (that was one fishing trip I'll remember. Took me about 15 minutes but I got it back out).

Anyway, does anyone know what size of a nut I need to fasten this reset knob to the dash? Any ideas where I can find said nut? I'm assuming it should be chrome or SS. Local Harley dealer wasn't any help.

Thanks... Glenn

A friend has a service manual I can borrow. I'll have a look at it when I see him next week. The guy at the parts desk didn't seem to know much about the older models. I also needed a speaker grill and had to go to the dealer and show him the other one I had before he could find it on his computer. He thought "it was round like all the other Electra Glides" . :loco .

I will post in the Newby folder. I just joined a week or 2 ago and have been working 12 hr shifts ever since... just got a chance today to log on for a bit. Looks like a great site. It was recommended to me by a member after I bought my Harley a month ago.

Thanks for the possible numbers. Is there an online site where I can check the numbers? I've searched to no avail. I even have a blow up of a parts list for my fairing that the guy at the Dealership gave me but it just shows the hole where the trip meter knob pokes through. The Dealership is an hours ride from me (which is a great excuse for a ride) except for the damn 40 days and nights of rain we've been having.
